It's a short school week, and we are getting ready for Thanksgiving. Aside from vacation, this is my favorite week of the year. I enjoy cooking and eating our traditional Thanksgiving meal. I love spending the entire day in the kitchen with my mom and with the kids running around playing. I love the smell of cooking the dressing, my favorite! We are planning a Friday trip to get our Christmas trees at Tom Sawyer's. We have done this for at least 11 years, if I count correctly. Each year, things change in our life but we still hold true to honoring our family traditions. It's so important to me that we always do this. It puts our hearts focused on the things that really matter.
