More from Beaver Creek

I'm going to quickly highlight the rest of my trip to Beaver Creek. Most of our days were about the same, sleep in, work out, venture out in the towns around us, get in the hot tub, watch movies after dinner, it was nice to do not a whole lot of anything, especially anything stressful.

This last picture is taken from the lobby of where we stayed. On Thursday, the staff brought in their Christmas tree, which happened to have come from North Carolina, just like ours do.

Here's the tree from the outside once they got it fully in place. I'm hoping they get it decorated before we leave tomorrow.

One of the coolest things I saw in the shops was this petrified wood table top. It was so beautiful and it was also $65,000. I can't imagine even using it, even if I was miraculously able to afford such a table.

I've got two more posts to do, one of the trip to Vail and one about what we ate, I'm a foodie at heart and it deserves a post all it's own.

I'm off to enjoy our last day here. We are taking a bus up the mountain to see a little of the Birds of Prey ski competition. Should be interesting...
